I don't think that advertisers will chose one over the other, but I do think that they do not target the same market. Facebook is more about interaction and Branding (yes with a big B!) and Google about Buying (again same big B! ;)
The ROI and conversion rate on Facebook seems to be far low of Facebook than on Google. People go to Facebook to hangout, so not really to buy anything, while...
